Zonnedakje live in 44 new Dutch municipalities

On which roofs in the province of Noord-Holland can solar panels be installed? This question can now be answered at a glance. The digital tool, Zonnedakje, is live in all 44 municipalities in the province.

Edward Stigter, deputy for Climate & Energy: "During the discussions about possible places where we can generate solar energy, as part of the Regional Energy Strategies for North Holland North and North Holland South, it emerged that many people prefer to have solar panels on roofs. It's great that we can support that desire even better with Zonnedakje."

In addition to the current picture of where solar energy is already being generated and where not, which roofs are suitable for solar panels in terms of location, municipalities can also see where the electricity grid still has room. For this purpose, current data from Liander is used.
