AI for 100 Resilient Cities

AI for 100 Resilient Cities

Last week, in light of the 2019 Urban Resilience Summit, urban resilience leaders from all over the world gathered in Rotterdam to share ideas and learn more about innovations for climate-resilient cities. Sobolt was invited to show how AI-driven solutions can help cities become more resilient.

One important part of a resilient city strategy is to make use of the available space on rooftops. Together with the City of Rotterdam, Sobolt has automatically investigated Rotterdam's rooftops to see where green roofs are installed. This allows cities to gain insight in the current usage of rooftops and keep track of sustainability goals.

Additionally, Sobolt leverages satellite data and aerial photography to provide cities with solutions regarding heat stress, green areas and solar energy in the city. A representative from the city of London asked us, "what is required to apply these technologies in my city?" Fortunately, the solutions are scalable; with the global availability of satellite data these technologies can be applied on a global level.

The solutions to support resilient cities are ready. Is your city ready too? Get in touch with us to learn more now!
