HeatBrain uses AI to save time and energy in more ways than one

Single-paned windows or cracked walls can cause heat leakages and financial losses. Thermographic experts who scan buildings using a thermal camera spend a significant amount of time manually identifying, highlighting and labeling the scans in preparation for a heat loss report. HeatBrain, which combines state-of-the-art deep learning techniques with thermographic images, is powered by artificial intelligence and captures the knowledge of experts in a systematic way.

HeatBrain’s consortium consists of three parties of which Sobolt is responsible for tool development and project management. Combined with the experience and knowledge of Warmtecheck and Nieman, HeatBrain can save time and money throughout the customer pipeline as well as have an environmentally-beneficial role by reducing the energy demand for heating.
