Joining King Willem-Alexander for Trade Mission to Bremen

Earlier this week, Sobolt participated in the Dutch trade mission to Germany’s space city, Bremen. Led by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima, the delegation explored the German space sector and forged ties with potential partners and clients, especially focussed on the Dutch sector.

Bremen‘s space cluster unites a large share of Germany’s space expertise and represents an internationally respected knowledge hub. Generating over 4 billion euros per year, the revenue of Bremen’s space sector exceeds that of the entire Netherlands.

In this respect, the trade mission presented a unique opportunity for Sobolt to expand its international network and identify sustainability opportunities together with German neighbors. The mission also allowed Sobolt to reinforce its ties with players from the Dutch space industry.

In addition to the events at the premises of major industry players such as DLR, Airbus and OHB, Sobolt visited the DFKI (the German research center for artificial intelligence) to identify joint research projects and to further extend Sobolt’s leading AI expertise. Presentations by Fraunhofer, the remote sensing institute, further underlined the tremendous opportunities within the German market.

Looking forward to leveraging the power of space to build a more livable planet?
